Summary:
We're looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to provide day-to-day administration of Welch's warehousing activities, in conjunction with our third party logistics providers, and supporting the development of business strategies to enhance performance.
What You'll Do:
Oversee storage, distribution, inventory management, reporting and financial performance of warehouse activities in conjunction with our 3PL service providers.
Develop and monitor relevant KPI's for warehouse operations to ensure cost efficiencies and service quality.
Facilitate effective reporting required to support the business such as shipping compliance related to defects, timeliness and customer FEFO requirements.
Monitor inventory levels to meet business needs with adequate capacity, while delivering to financial targets.
Partner with Food Safety & Quality to ensure product statuses are regularly reviewed for customer orders, donations, or destruction based on shelf life requirements.
Liaison between our service providers and Welch's internal functions to ensure plans are aligned and business requirements are being met, including but not limited to:
Customer Operations, Transportation, Planning and Food Safety & Quality.
Manage the $3M pallet budget and CHEP activity.
Conduct weekly reviews to reconcile transactions and invoices.
Perform required Global Location ID (GLID) maintenance and lead the annual audit.
Manage inventory accuracy and transfers between manufacturing, co-manufacturers and warehouses to reposition inventory for distribution and customer requirements while minimizing the overall warehousing and transportation costs to service customers.
Drive and implement cost savings projects, carry out continuous cost analysis and program leadership as required.
Proactive, ongoing capacity and cost analysis/optimization by warehouse.
Create standard operating procedures (SOP) for efficient execution and process control.
Support the forecast process and budgets for warehousing, transportation shuttle and interplant freight.
Conduct monthly reconciliations of actuals to understand key drivers of variances.
Monitor Oracle warehouse system accuracy including lead times, customer order and inventory statuses.
Partnering with IT, customers and the 3rd party warehouses to enhance processes, systems support, and reporting.
Create purchase orders in Oracle for all warehouse and logistics related activities.
Monitor PO status, perform maintenance as needed and review/approve relevant invoices.
Support warehouse contract negotiations, creation and maintenance with Legal/Management.
Assist with miscellaneous Logistics activities as needed.
Ensure all activities adhere to local and federal law requirements.
Network with peer companies and professional organizations to stay current with industry trends.

What You'll Need:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or other related focus preferred.

years of supply chain, warehousing, transportation or logistics Must possess proficient computer skills, budget development and tracking skills, with knowledge of Word, Excel, and database systems.
Working knowledge of Oracle is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
